I have a background in molecular and cell biology, with an MSc from the University of Zurich. Over the years, I have worked on various projects in wildlife research, management and population genetics, mainly focusing on data management, database development, fieldwork, lab work and project coordination. Since June 2026, I have been part of the Population Ecology Research Group, where I support the Swiss Ungulates Management (SUMA) project, which focuses on integrated and adaptive management of wild ungulates in Switzerland. My work involves coordinating project activities, communicating with partners and stakeholders, managing data and developing the project’s online platform, essentially trying to keep people, data and occasionally wildlife-related chaos reasonably well organised. Outside of work, I spend time with my family, where stakeholder negotiations are an equally important part of everyday life and the two younger members regularly challenge my understanding of adaptive management.
