Project
Being part of the Masai Giraffe Ecology and Conservation Project, led by Monica Bond and Derek Lee, I am focusing on the spatial relationships and habitat use patterns of different sex and age classes of Masai giraffes in the Tarangire Ecosystem. My research analyzes spatial overlap and segregation across three seasons to understand the relationships among giraffe sexes and age classes, and their common areas of habitat use and sexual segregation. Additionally, the study aims to develop spatially explicit maps and models to highlight core use areas for each demographic group.
